Dear 4geeks,
There are 2 things that will soon be happening
in my campaign, and I need your opnion and any useful tips on how to do
this.
The first is giving out magic items, as I suck
at it, and now that I’ve got the MME book, it would be uesful to know
when to give out magic items, what to give out and how ?
The second is that in my campaign, a large war
is about to take place. A huge army, led by an evil villian who the
players have met previously in the past, is going to attack the capital
of the empire via sea, while the prison island which his family has
taken over (now serving as a large fortress for them) which while this
large war is happening, an evil wizard in the fortress is casting a
ancient ritual to free the main villian of the campaign- and evil lich
king. The twist: the evil wizard is one of the most trusted friend of
the party. The idea is that the party will help stave off the initial
attack force, take a boat to the prison island and destory the fortress
and stop the ritual, then swoop around to fight the evil noble aboard
his ship, or in the capital if they’s taken too long. As you can see, I
know roughly how I want it to go down, but any advice or tips you can
give me to make it any better or run smoother would be most appreciated.
Many thanks,
Mike, a DM
